Yesterday in Mrs. Garber's class.we talk about the wesrten farmers and the regular farmers. I didnt know that most farmers didnt make alot. They had to make loans. There was a lot of trouble and debt going into the farming business. But as the years went on farmering got smaller because of the development of the united states.
The thing that really shocked me, was the cows the farmers are breeding today. Giving them steriods. Those cows look scary. It makes me not want to eat beef anymore. With the technology we have today.Things can be produced faster and much better for human body. the food is mainly made by geniticly making things together.I think its just people playing god and i disagree with it all.
In the previous class, Mrs. G gave homework. Now we normally dont have homework. This homework was a packet. it was about economics in the united states in the previous years. The supply and the demand chart. It had lots of differ scenieros. which caused the supply or demand to shift.it either upor down.then we had to describe it. Whether the price went up or down or the quanity went up and down.
At first i didnt understand why we were doing it.butshe explained it. she had explained a lot. Most i cant even remember. there was a lot of taking this class. i aslo seen a cartoon. It was very interesting. It was about the uniteds tates and what was goin on. how poor they were getting and how they were following the wrong peolple to help.
I can see this unit is going to be mainly on the gold rush mining. the problem with the rachers and farmers and how the united states government got out of this or deal. The United states had to do a lot of work and its looks like it needs more because were going back into those horrible days.

Your blog was great and very informative about how farmers struggled to make decent profits. As industrialization grew in the U.S., fewer people chose to be farmers. Falling crop prices made it very hard for farmers to pay back their loans and make a profit at the same time.
I liked your blog. It gave me good information on the struggles of farmers and how to struggled to make money. Those HUGE cows are pretty gross.
i liked your blog and how you explained what the farmers went through for five years and how they were book smart to try to figurewhat they were doing until they got toghter
